drupa 2012: Registration now open - date

drupa organisers make registration easy online with new nomenclature

 

The magic moment is here! Exhibitors from around the world can now register for drupa 2012 . The printed exhibitor invitation is being sent out. The digital registration form is already available at www.drupa.com. The new online registration form is switched to “hot” until 31 October 2010; following that participation in drupa 2012 will be available via a waiting list. “It appears as if the market was waiting longingly for drupa 2012 to start up again," says Manuel Mataré, Director of drupa. The online registration tool was hardly switched on before the first stand reservations from overseas began to flow in. This clearly proves how important drupa is for the print media, publishing & converting sectors. drupa is maintaining its role as the flagship of the industry leading the way and establishing confidence during a difficult phase of economic upheaval.  What will count tomorrow - new trends and technologies for the era of media convergence - is discussed in Dusseldorf at drupa. Anyone who wishes to benefit from this transition must be there in 2012.”

drupa 2012 is starting off with a restructured nomenclature. Thus main groups titled “Paper and Substrates” plus “Inks and Consumables” have been added. The “Components and Infrastructure” categories are also new. All of the equipment needed to equip a printing works from networking technology via indoor air conditioning to soundproofing is brought together under this heading.

Numerous useful features on the Internet make registration easier for exhibitors and facilitate organisation of their participation in the trade fair. For example, companies that were already exhibitors in 2008 can supplement or correct the 2008 registration form with current data by using their old login data.  They no longer have to re-enter all of the information, e.g. the address) (www.drupa.com/2300). A stand surface area calculator which works out the costs for the desired stand size at a click is also helpful. Work is also facilitated by the Schedule tool: important basic dates in the drupa schedule (e.g. close of registration, start of placement discussions, start of construction) can be updated directly in your digital personal information manager under the heading “Waiting for drupa 2012” (www.drupa.com/2380).

Incidentally: anyone who wants to stick this drupa-specific schedule up on the wall in print format will not miss out either. All of the relevant basic dates are listed on a self-adhesive stafix foil in the printed registration documentation.  This foil can be removed, re-attached or moved as many times as you wish. So you always have your drupa timetable in front of your eyes in the location you want.
