Heidelberg goes XXL at trade show
29/05/2008
Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, traditionally the biggest exhibitor at drupa, will use the show to demonstrate its range of machinery from all areas of sheetfed offset printing across two halls covering 7,800m2.
One day before the opening of the trade fair gates, chairman Bernhard Schreier told journalists that the leading exhibition was a “trend barometer”, but did not estimate how willing print businesses would be to invest. Schreier presented what is the highlight of Heidelberg’s exhibition hall – the roughly 200-tonne Speedmaster XL 162 – with the words “our blue whale is called XXL”. The launch represents the company’s entry into large-format sheetfed printing with the format classes 6 and 7B.
