29/05/2008
The German press manufacturer launches €50k award to give a boost to sheetfed offset printers that operate sustainably Heidelberg has launched an international environmental award for sustainable printing in the sheetfed offset sector, giving printers the chance to share in a €50,000 prize fund.
There are two prize categories in the Eco Printing Award: Sustainable Companies and Forward-looking Solutions. Any printshop operating at least one sheetfed offset press can take part.
According to Heidelberg, the awards are open to printshops from anywhere in the world, regardless of size, make or number of presses.
“The idea is to show that environmentally friendly credentials help printshops improve their image and boost earnings, while eco-friendly investments quickly pay for themselves,” said executive board member for engineering and products Jürgen Rautert.
Applications can be submitted from June 1 to July 31. Winners will be announced in December. Heidelberg is in Hall 2.
