Interactive CD-ROM for business initiative XtraWin

For Drupa 2008 WRH Marketing launched a CD-ROM for the business initative XtraWin. The interactive medium allows to virtually develop new high quality editorial products and delivers a sound basis for evaluating potential investment projects. The user will be guided through a simple configuration programme to define the new print product. The mailroom system will then be configurated automatically. A generated feasibility calculation gives transparent and concrete facts regarding the cost-benefit ratio of the investement. Furthermore the programnme will automatically prepare a fact-filled convincing presentation to present the plans to every target audience.
XtraWin is an interesting, future-oriented business model for progressive printing houses and newspaper publishers. The concept supports the idea to include the production of semi-commercials in addition to daily newspapers as a fixed component of the corporate strategy in order to get the maximum out of production capacity. The Ferag postpress processing system and the option to integrate additional functions like stitching, trimming and gathering provide the basis for maximising utilisation all the way back to the newspaper printing machine. Access to new and fertile markets is the result, while in the interests of corporate growth and prosperity, far more profitable use can be made of expensive production technology that would otherwise go unused.
