Scholz fills new drupa position

From 1 August 2008, there will be a new addition to the drupa team at Messe Düsseldorf. Ralph Scholz will be stepping into the newly created role of account manager.
"The increasingly international scope of our activities in the field of print and media as well as the introduction of special themes this year, such as the drupacube, have necessarily prompted this move,” said Hans Werner Reinhard, the division director responsible for drupa, explaining the human resources decision. “In addition, we intend to sharpen the customer focus of our international event activities between stagings of drupa," continued Reinhard.
With 42-year-old Ralph Scholz, Messe Düsseldorf brings a seasoned industry expert into the fold. Scholz has carried out a host of projects for a wide variety of companies in the media and communications industry (including publications for Daimler-Benz and Deutsche Post) as well as for Geffken Mediendienste.
The communications graduate is for the moment still editor in chief of the German trade journal Versio but has already been actively involved in drupa 2008 for a year and a half as project director of the drupacube, the infortainment center for print buyers and much anticipated premiere at this year's drupa.
