Messe reveals drupa 2012 dates

Visitors stormed the Messe Düsseldorf over the weekend, much to the delight of exhibitors

It’s Monday, and many will be breathing a sigh of relief rather than the usual groan after a hugely busy weekend at the Messe.

The first weekend is traditionally the busiest time of the show, resulting in packed halls and this weekend did not disappoint, with thousands of visitors. On Saturday, the crowds were desperate to get under cover due to the unpredictable Düsseldorf weather.

Exhibitors were pleased. One said: “It’s been crazy. We’ve taken big orders for equipment. So far it all points to a successful drupa.”

Meanwhile, Messe has unveiled the dates for the 2012 show which will be held on 3-16 May 2012. Werner M Dornscheidt, chairman of the Messe Düsseldorf board, said: “We are complying with our exhibitors’ planning requests with this early scheduling.“

Messe also announced dates of some of its other shows: AllinPrint 2008 on 14-17 November 2008 in Shanghai; EmbaxPrint 2009 on 19-22 May in Brünn, and Pack Print International 2009 in Bangkok on 23-26 September.
