Five-colour Rapida headed for China

KBA and Shanghai Jielong

KBA has sold a Rapida 162a five- colour press to Shanghai-based Jielong Group, the printer manufacturer announced yesterday.

On the first day of the show, a delegation from Shanghai Jielong Group, comprising company president Junde Fei and his management team, was welcomed to the KBA stand by staff and representatives from KBA China.

At the meeting, contracts were exchanged for a size 7-plus (1,200 x1,620mm) Rapida 162a, which will commence its journey to Shanghai in the autumn.

Shanghai Jielong was one of the first Chinese printers to be privatised and is one of the oldest users of KBA presses in the country, having started up its first Planeta press lines in 1994.
