Print and History

It started about 600 years ago - the first presses were used in order to get alphabetic characters onto paper. That basically means that drupas roots reach back into the 15th century - literally speaking. Nevertheless, it took a whole many decades until the first drupa took place in 1951.

In 1814, the London Times was printed for the first time on a cylinder press. A machine similar to the Victoria-Front that is exhibited in hall 9 at the booth of the Museum für print art in Leipzig.
