Colourworld orders XL 75

Colourworld says the Speedmaster XL75 will boost output by 50 per cent
UK printer Colourworld has signed up for Heidelberg’s new top of the range B2 press, the drupa launched Speedmaster XL 75.
The Winchester, UK-based company said it chose the five-colour press with coater configuration to handle branded products and meet the just-in-time deadlines expected by its customers.
Chris Tyler-Smith, Colourworld managing director, said the press gives the company 50% more productivity over its 12-year old SM 74. “We are delighted to see the XL 75 in action here. It produces great mark-free print and for us the gap between the cost of a secondhand and new press was more than justified by the improvements in technology.
Colourworld celebrated its first drupa by donning T-shirts specially made for the show. “It's a real buzz to be here,” said Tyler-Smith.
