Peeters buys eight-colour Komori

Lithrone S40P Peeters ordered the Lithrone S40P on the first day of the show

Leuven, Belgium-based Peeters Publishing, Printing & Book Store has bought a Komori eight-colour B1 long perfector at drupa.

Manager Luc Peeters placed the order on the first day of the show. After many years of only operating Heidelberg presses, he has bought his first Komori press, a Lithrone S40P. He said: "Komori’s 8-colour B1 longer perfector offers outstanding quality and flexibility at a competitive price." Peeters added: "This is a big investment for us but we have planned it carefully. It will increase our scientific and academic book printing capacity by 35% and ultimately raise our turnover and profitability."

Meanwhile, Komori has announced massive investment plans as part of the latest phase of the expansion of its Tsukuba factory in Japan. The press manufacturer will invest10bn yen to add an further 27,000m2 to its 33,000 multi function site. Yoshiharu Komori, president and CEO of Komori Corporation, said: "We are experiencing continued strong growth in market share worldwide, which is driving our investment to meet the increase in demand for our sheetfed and web offset presses.
