Bielomatik demonstrates the new production process at its Stand A06 in Hall 11
The early generation of RFID tags were larger than today’s and made of copper – not a good solution for sustainability.
Under the name RF Loop Tag, Bielomatik has developed a new production concept for producing RFID tags.
This involves putting a UHF chip module – a mini-transponder – produced by NXP on a prefabricated antenna that reaches as far as ten metres. When adhereing the transponder to the antenna, slight shifts in the chip are automatically compensated by a
magnetic coupling so time is saved in production.
Furthermore, the labels consist of paper as well the same type of aluminium used for milk bags, makng recycling much easier than copper. The system has already been used for ticket for the Football World Championship and for the Football European Championship taking place now, as well as for the Olympic Games and for the metro in Moscow.
