Domino lands sale of Bitjet+ V4.5

09/06/2008
Bitjet The Bitjet+ V4.5 is driven by the digital specialist’s Windows-based controller

Norwegian mailing house Kvaleberg Industri has splashed out on two of Domino Printing Sciences' new Bitjet+ V4.5 machines as well as two Domino Editor GT Windows XP-based controllers.

The firm plans to integrate the first inkjet machine into one of its existing mailing lines to print addresses onto paper products. The second will be linked to a Sitma polywrapping line to print personalised addresses directly onto plastic wraps.
Domino product director of commercial print Philip Easton said: "We are delighted to have secured our first ever sale of the Bitjet+ V4.5 on its global launch here at drupa.

"We are pleased with the visitor traffic to our stand so far and the attraction of our newly launched technologies. These indicate a buoyant interest among drupa visitors for inline inkjet variable
data print solutions," he added.

The machine, which was debuted here at the show, features Domino's solvent-based binary inkjet technology, which the firm said offers uninterrupted personalisation at extremely high speeds. It is driven by the firm's Editor GT Windows XP-based controllers, which uses TCP/IP protocol.
