HP seals on-demand deal

HP has delivered a digital equipment package to Infowerk AG in Nuremberg.

The company acquired three Indigo 7000s, one HP Smart Stream Production Pro Print Server, a HP Smart Stream Photo Enhancer Server and an offline HP UV coater. Four sheetfed Indigos and an Indigo web press are already working at the integrated software, advertising and printing company.

Chairman Winfried Gaber said the new Indigos would help meet the urgent requirements for increased volume and production speed. "The quality is very good and the increase in printing speed was decisive for the Indigo 7000." The digital print area at Infowerk AG is mainly concentrated on the business-to-business and business-to-consumer sectors in on-demand book printing, which it also addresses with products in the independently operating software arm of the company. The machines are to be commissioned in October 2008.
