10/06/2008
Joaquim Bastos (second right): Laserblue buys for Brazilian printer
Muller Martini has revealed a host of sales to a Latin American print group that has already invested heavily at the show.
Oceano, which is part of the Escala/Oceano/Araguaia Group, made the news when it placed an order for a 16pp KBA Compacta last week. Now Muller Martini has revealed that the group has also bought a Bolero perfect binder with a Frontero face trimmer, a Ventura MC book sewing machine and a PrimaPlus Tandem saddle stitching line.
Muller Martini has revealed a new blue colour for its finishing equipment at the show and Joaquim Bastos, industrial director of the Escala/Oceano/Araguaia Group, said: "I'm happy that all of our new machines will be Laserblue".
Buyers from Latin America have been among the biggest spenders with a number of web press deals signed for the continent.
