Supplier to fire up EFI’s Asian push

Haertel: “Basch is an outstanding company to work with”
EFI has strengthened its position in the Chinese market after signing an agreement at drupa with distributor Basch Group for the Jetrion 4000 UV inkjet printer.
The move follows EFI's deci-sion to introduce the Jetrion 3000 to China through Basch last year. Basch Group chairman Mr Cheng said: "We're already a distributor for EFI's Jetrion 3000 monochrome series and, due to feedback from customers, we wanted to provide a quality narrow web digital press with colour capabilities."
The Jetrion 4000 is a four-colour UV inkjet press that hits 30.5m per minute. EFI believes its compact design means it can go straight onto the production floor, making it a versatile product offering. EFI director of worldwide sales Dean Haertel said: "EFI is attempting to build worldwide and Basch is an outstanding company to work with.
"We have had a number of Chinese visitors to the stand and we have received very positive feedback from them. They have been extremely impressed with the quality and speed of the machine." Although EFI has been operating in China for a number of years, last year it decided to open up sales offices in the country.
