Netherlands-based ProFlexeS Invests in KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 Digital Production Color Press at drupa 2008
11/06/2008
DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY, June 10 — ProFlexeS, a commercial printing business based in Kerkrade, The Netherlands, purchased a five-color KODAK NEXPRESS 2500 Digital Production Color Press and KODAK NEXPRESS Glossing Unit at drupa.
The sixteen employee-strong ProFlexeS, which specializes in web to print projects for the consumer and business markets, made the investment to strengthen its capability in full color variable data printing applications, in particular in the area of personalized products, including greetings cards. Delivering 2500 A3/tabloid 4/0 sheets per hour (83 pages per minute) on a very wide range of substrates, the NEXPRESS 2500 features a fully modular design which allows it to be completely field upgradeable for increased speed (3000 sheets per hour / 100 pages per minute), paper feeding capacity and delivery capacity. The five color configuration will also enable ProFlexeS to benefit from an array of GATF InterTech Award winning KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions, comprising: in-line coating, glossing, or a fifth color to expand the printing gamut and reproduce spot colors.
“We were particularly impressed with the high, offset-like image quality and increased productivity achievable with the NEXPRESS 2500,” said Mr Dennis van Rijswijk, Owner and Managing Director of ProFlexeS. “This press also delivers our business a much greater level of versatility, which will enable us to meet our customer needs more effectively”, he adds. “Not only that, but as an environmentally-conscious printer, we also expect to benefit from the in-built sustainability attributes offered by the NEXPRESS 2500.”
