FSC Conference: 5. FSC Global Paper Forum

3. – 4. May 2012 on drupa12 in Düsseldorf

Writing the future, creating future through sustainable behavior – this was the motto of the FSC Global Paper Forum on May 3-4th 2012 at the world leading trade fair drupa12. During this international meeting FSC certificate holders, purchasers of FSC certified paper products, pulp producers and representatives of related sectors as well as environmental organisations got together, to create a stronger market and new opportunities for FSC-certified paper and pulp. About 150 participants from all over the world were expected to join this year´s event.

Taking up the issues of previous events FSC Germany, in collaboration with FSC International, were offering this time more than 20 sessions (panel discussions, key notes, workshops), in which the latest updates and deve-lopments of the FSC market and FSC International Policies related to the paper sector were presented and discussed.

The conference focused on
* the supply situation of FSC-certified material
* the European Timber Regulation in connection to the paper sector and
* possibilities for exchange between environmental organisations and the paper sector.
