Optimus announce a new integration partnership with Carbon Quota

Integrate your Optimus MIS with Carbon Quota to obtain accurate automated Carbon Reporting

As a global MIS manufacturer, we consistently review and analyse new market trends.  Our focus continues to be on providing Optimus customers with software solutions and integrated capability, that will not only make a lasting and positive difference to their overall user experience now; but will also go on to meet and exceed the key demands that are being placed upon them by their customers for years to come.

One such trend that fits perfectly with those criteria, which has substantially increased over the last two years, is that “Brand Owners” are increasingly demanding Accurate and Automated Carbon reporting! Therefore, from our customers perspective, this data automatically being delivered through their Optimus MIS is the ideal solution. This led us to research companies who could not only deliver that validated empirical data to Optimus by the provision of user-friendly software tools, but we also sought a partner who was truly science led and had demonstrated their credentials and worth to the industry over many years.

As such, we are delighted to formally announce our partnership with Carbon Quota at Drupa 2024; who we believe are the very best in class in their field of expertise!  Put simply, “Carbon Quota provide a granular carbon footprint by assessing the environmental impact of substrates, production, consumables, transport and what happens to a product at the end of its life”. This additional data then enables “Brand Owners”, to make informed decisions about what printed materials they order and the true environmental impact on their Net-Zero aspirations.  So just how is this achieved within your Optimus MIS?

1.     An estimator inputs a print specification into your Optimus Core MIS system.

2.     The specification is submitted, saved and validated; before passing through a unique carbon calculation machine learning algorithm powered by Carbon Quota.

3.     Using your specification data, a carbon footprint for the job is calculated.

4.     The value is returned to the Optimus core MIS, and a carbon footprint for that job is displayed.
