We have already presented some of PRINT & DIGITAL CONVENTION’s highlight projects in the last few days. Now it’s time for the next round of showcasing. So we are taking a closer look at the book project “Photobook”, which shows how innovative production technologies ensure that a book becomes a multisensory experience.
As you as attentive readers may already have noticed, PRINT & DIGITAL CONVENTION, which is jointly organized by drupa and the Fachverband Medienproduktion e.V. from June 22 to 23, 2022, will once again present varied and exciting highlight projects.
One of the highlight projects is the book project “Photobook”. This project shows how a book can touch all senses – with the help of state-of-the-art production technologies. The photobook was realised by Marathon Press and Imaging Solutions AG (ISAG) and stages the works of the American photographer Tim Tadder.
PräziEdge is a book edge printer with which patterns, motives, a coloured edge or graphics surrounding the book block can be printed on the edges of a book with a 3D effect. The printer can also be used to print on absorbent materials such as wood, stone, fabric and cardboard. Moreover, the Memjet technology makes the printer particularly fast: around 3.000 prints per hour can be realized with a quality of up to 1.600 x 800 dpi.
We are looking forward to seeing the project live at PRINT & DIGITAL CONVENTION and holding the photobook in our hands. Get your ticket now, if you want to learn more about the photobook offering a multisensory experience and explore more of the great projects from the highlight-guide.
