Global players are committed to drupa 2016

drupa is and will be continuing its success story! After the official exhibitor registration deadline for the leading global trade fair for print and cross-media solutions on 31 October 2014, Messe Düsseldorf is able to look back on a very positive interim result: The worldwide industry and its global players will also take part again in 2016. They have clearly given their backing to drupa and have partly already booked even more space than for the previous trade fair. As in the past, drupa 2016 will be a fully booked once again.

The excellent booking status expressly confirms the strategic reorientation with its focus on cross-media, future and highlight topics. The slogan "Touch the Future" sums up this future orientation perfectly. New topics such as functional printing, printing electronics or 3D printing are a demonstration beyond the exhibition halls of the adaptability, innovative properties of print and our industry", emphasises Claus Bolza-Schünemann, Chairman of the Executive Board of Koenig & Bauer AG and President of the drupa Committee.

Following the analyses of all the registrations received, the structuring and planning of the 19 trade fair halls into each of the focal points for each sector and the topic areas will start at the end of the 2014.

There is also interesting news from Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai Ltd. All in Print, which is taking place from 14 -17 November 2014 at the Shanghai New International Exhibition Center (SNIEC), will set new records this year: 680 exhibitors on a gross exhibition area of 82,000 m² and 100,000 expected visitors will contribute to a successful event. drupa 2016 is taking part in All in Print with a diverse range of activities and will be in an intensive dialogue with the international exhibitors and multipliers of the printing industry.

With best regards,
Your drupa team

Global study on the topic has been published.

They strikingly underline just how Big Data, Web-to-Print, variable data printing, internet-based tools such as augmented reality and QR codes or smart technology such as printed electronics and near field communication shape and influence the entire cosmos of printed products.

Printing-services providers and the supplier industry on the one side and the clients on the other must face up to the challenges, while grasping the opportunities resulting from this. "With its detailed analysis of the global markets and synopsis of current trends, the "drupa Global Insights" report makes an important contribution for strategic decisions", says Werner M.
