drupa once again becomes the hot spot for the print media industry and will also cordially welcome the visitors from around the world. Half way through, the event has already attracted more than 160,00 guests from 190 countries to drupa.

With the motto “touch the future” drupa places the industry’s innovative power centre stage and provides a platform for future technologies. The focus is especially on next-generation and highlight themes such as print, packaging production, multichannel, 3D printing, functional printing or green printing.

But exhibitors and visitors do not only exchange information on location: On the social network Twitter the official hashtag #drupa2016 was amongst the top 3 trends – clearly ahead of #em2016.

Social Media Meeting at drupa

drupa hosted an exclusive social media meeting für exhibitors and their guests. Speaker of the event at drupa cube was the British social media expert, Simon Burton, who impressively showed how Twitter and other social media can enrich a trade fair appearance. Afterwards, the participants exchanged information about the newly gained knowledge in a relaxed atmosphere.

Visitors of drupa 2016 are greeted directly at the entrance of the exhibition halls with a breathtaking paper installation. Inspired by the blossoms of the wisteria, this piece of art was created in cooperation with Wanda Barcelona, Arjowiggins Graphic and Koenig & Bauer AG as well as Highcon Systems. The visitors agree: A successful welcome and a great tribute to the versatile material paper.
