Düsseldorf transforms into drupa city

From May 28 to June 7, 2024, the whole of Düsseldorf will become drupa city. After the intensive days of the trade fair, the city will offer a pleasant finale with a wide range of entertainment options. An evening highlight tour from the old town to Königsallee, a RED GALLERY route featuring Düsseldorf’s best photo spots, including stops at magnificent viewing terraces, beer gardens, and rooftop bars, as well as special culinary offerings at local restaurants and breweries. Too good to throw away! Donate your leftovers to Tafel Düsseldorf e.V.

If you have food in good condition or other items from this list left over in the evening or at the end of the trade fair and want to dispose of them, donate them instead!

Contact our cooperation partner, Tafel Düsseldorf e.V., and arrange a pick-up date. Subject to sufficient capacity at the Tafel for collection and storage, their volunteers will be happy to collect the goods from your stand. They then make them available to people affected by poverty in Düsseldorf and the surrounding area. We take care of the logistics in consultation with the Tafel. All you have to do is make a call and register your goods.

We want our fairs to be as sustainable as possible and avoid waste, especially of food. Please help us by not throwing away leftovers! However, passing on leftovers from open catering is not allowed for hygiene reasons.

You’re no doubt familiar with him, but you may not have heard of her before: Wassily Kandinsky was already famous in his lifetime and considered himself the creator of the first abstract painting. But the Swedish painter Hilma af Klint was already producing abstract work a number of years before her Russian counterpart! Look forward to the unique opportunity to compare and contrast the works of two pioneering artists. In K20.

Feeling romantic? You will be soon! Because as the end of spring draws near, the Schumannfest will whisk you away to a world in which the sounds of yesteryear meet the present day and merge to create a symphony of emotions. For example, Lia Pale has taken the liberty of transposing Romantic lieder to the world of jazz. Indulge yourself in this musical magic which is sensuous and brimming with surprises!

You absolutely mustn’t miss this on 1 June: Japan Day in Düsseldorf is the East Asian country’s biggest cultural festival in Europe. The banks of the Rhine near the city centre are the festival’s hotspot. It features samurai shows, Japanese food in all its variety, Japanese drummer shows and, of course, what are known as cosplayers, who make Japan Day an extra special attraction.
