Dr. Andreas Pleßke new Chairman of the drupa Committee

Since February 08, 2022, companies from the print and packaging industry can register online as exhibitors for drupa 2024. We are happy to report that as of today major exhibitors from 19 nations are already on board.

Dr. Andreas Pleßke, CEO at Koenig & Bauer AG, confirmed as new chairman of the drupa Committee


As part of the constitutive meeting of the drupa Committee on 8 February 2022, Dr. Andreas Pleßke, CEO at Koenig & Bauer AG, has been appointed Chairman. Wolfgang Poppen, Managing Partner at Freiburger Druck GmbH & Co. KG and President of the German Printing and Media Industries Federation (Bundesverband Druck und Medien e.V.), was again confirmed as his deputy. The drupa Committee advises Messe Düsseldorf on the conceptual further development of this leading trade fair to stay relevant for the sector. It was founded as part of the first drupa in 1951 and is composed of equal numbers of exhibitors and visitors.

Only 10 weeks to go until printpack alger 2022

International market leaders will present the latest printing and packaging innovations in Algeria from May 16-18 at printpack alger 2022. Algeria is the second most important buyer of printing and paper technology imports in Africa & Middle East. From 2019 to 2020, these have increased from €88 million to €101 million, an impressive +15.6% growth.

The lifespan of a recycled carton is expected to be much shorter than it is. In fact, the latest study conducted by Graz University of Technology disproves the widely believed mythos.
