One of the standout highlights of drupa 2024 was the interactive paper art installation at Entrance South, created by students from the Academy of Fashion & Design (AMD) in Düsseldorf. As part of their Brand and Communication Design program, eight teams participated in a competition led by Prof. Martin Breuer to develop innovative concepts around the theme of “anamorphosis.” The result was an impressive design object: 102 square panels forming an 11 x 8-meter interactive hotspot that actively engaged visitors and exhibitors. Participants were photographed and their images projected onto the artwork, creating a fusion of analog and digital worlds. The winning team, Theresa Meier and Elodie König, described their concept, ANALOGE DIGITALISIERUNG, as a visual translation of drupa’s claim – we create the future. “The paper becomes a canvas, people become part of the installation,” explained Meier.
