Our products

Product category: Printing machines for label printing

Label Printing

Cronite manufactures and supplies all the products (except paper) for the production of security, commercial, and social papers using the intaglio printing process, also known in America as the engraving process.

Our versatile presses, the 3 x 8-3/4, 5 x 9, and 7 x 11 Hi-Speed presses, accompanied by sheet fed or continuously fed feeders are relatively inexpensive compared to other available machinery.

They produce a 3 dimensional image that is not only hard to replicate but is also beautiful.

Our biggest customer makes his most profit by printing labels or “stickers” for branding fine packages.

It is well known that intaglio printing is the first line of defense for security printing, and our machines have become the standard for short run work due to ease and speed of set up.

Postage stamp printing is being done on Cronite presses, just as “stickers” are for branding on fine boxes. The advantage of high relief on self stick papers makes this equipment ideal for short runs that sometimes occur for specialty issues.

Embossing is the strength of Cronite equipment that produces more pressure than is needed to emboss up the toughest papers.

Hot Foil Stamping

Cronite manufactures and supplies all the products (except paper) for the production of security, commercial, and social papers using the intaglio printing process, also known in America as the engraving process.

Our versatile presses, the 3 x 8-3/4, 5 x 9, and 7 x 11 Hi-Speed presses, accompanied by sheet fed or continuously fed feeders are relatively inexpensive compared to other available machinery.

They produce a 3 dimensional image that is not only hard to replicate but is also beautiful.

The ability to switch from intaglio to hot foil stamping in less than 1 minute makes the machines very versatile. Since this is a true parallel platen system, and not a clam shell, with the ability to change pressure with the turn of a screw, makes it superior to most foil presses.

In addition to Cronite presses is the Super Etch machine used to produce copper or magnesium dies or plates. A relatively inexpensive and very easy to use machine will make plates over and over quickly, cleanly and safely. Hundreds have been sold all over the world for over 20 years.

Engraving is the finest of the graphic arts and makes the biggest and securest impression.

About us

Company details

Since 1886 Cronite has focused on supporting the intaglio industries, whether it is for artists, social or commercial written communications, or the security printing field.

The Third and Fourth Generation family business owners will be present at Drupa to offer what is considered to be necessary “turn key” equipment and supplies for the least expensive approach.

Intaglio

Simply put, Cronite equipment and supplies will produce the most beautiful and most secure impressions of any intaglio equipment.

There are 2 main reasons that make our system the best. One reason is that paper can pass through our press many times, in perfect registration, which can’t be done with ANY rotary intaglio press.

The other reason is that the image can be very highly embossed to give a 3 dimensional FEEL, where as rotary intaglio printing is very flat.

The development of our systems makes it possible for a complete project from platemaking, intaglio printing, and training. From the time of equipment installation to producing the first paying job, only 2 weeks are needed.

The cost of our system is about 1/10th of any of our competitors.
