JET AIR BLADE DRYER The air blade dryer is a flat dryer working with hot air at high speed. Recycling ventilation system with high performance centrifugal fan which conveys air into a special design collecting hood allowing a uniform distribution with minimum losses to the air blades. Thanks to its high efficiency, the dryer is normally used for fast flash off cycles or for the drying of water-borne lacquers or stains. The dryer can eventually also be equipped with infrared lamps placed in-between the blades to accelerate the drying process

FAST DRY - Infrared and hot air drying
When talking about offset machines, todays high capacity requirements oblige to achieve the drying of inks and traditional lacquers directly on the machines. The ink drying process implies two main equally important aspects. The first main issue is the evaporation of the dilution products, the second one is the chemical reaction, which takes place as an oxidation of the pigments. The choice of the dryer is determined by the composition of the inks and of the lacquers to be used. Products not containing any water can be simply dried by an infrared dryer, while water-borne inks need some hot air in addition to the IR irradiation. The short wave infrared dryer fast dry is equipped with an automatic switching on device for the lamps, which are activated by the sheets passing through. The system can also be partially switched on in case smaller formats are processed. In this case the side lamps are switched off according to the paper sheet format, thus achieving a relevant energy saving. The hot air dryer Fastdry is equipped with a heating coil, which feeds the air blades. Both the air temperature and the air speed are adjustable to avoid turbulences and over-heating especially in case of very light sheets.
Both dryers are controlled by a user friendly touch panel.
The ordinary ultraviolet sources produce a string infrared radiation that may cause a relevant overheating of the irradiated substrates. Thanks to a refined device developed by Superfici, it is possible to filter the emitted radiation taking away all the infrared portion. The result is a cold ultraviolet light which can be used with any kind of thermo-sensitive material. The above mentioned Coldcure system combined with the development of a special UV-PLUS module achieves the possibility of positioning the reflector in three different positions: 1. Direct irradiation – on the surface to be cured. 2. Coldcure position – to achieve a “cold” polymerisation. 3. Stand-by position – in case of conveyor stop with lamp power supply cut to 50%.
