Product category: Book block feeders
The block feeder BA02 is a machine for decollation of photo book blocks from a pile, so the upper block
is lifted-up with succers and transported to a belt and layed down.
Product category: Book block lining and headband gluing machines
Book Line RHLE 30
■ fully automated
■ without mechanical exchange parts
The DGR Book Line RHLE 30 is a new, automatic book flow line, complete with downstream joint forming and pressing station for economic industrial manufacture of conventional hard cover books. This book line offers state-of-the-art technology, fast change-over without the need to change format parts, and now also allows short, very short print runs and even individual copies of qualitatively superior books to be produced with consistently high quality and extremely attractive unit costs.
Product category: Book casing-in machines
Casing-In Machine E30
The casing-in machine E30 works with the conventional principle
of the vertical bearing plate transport. Nevertheless, there are in
detail important changes to the known standard machines.
The changes aim to the possibility of production of single books
without set-up times and of production of special products in
market niches – with minimal manufacturing costs of the
casing-in machine. Besides, a reduction of speed to 20 cycles per minute was accepted.
Compared with the known state of technology, arrangements have been
made with the E30, which allow handling of special products:
1. processing of fresh/wet PUR bound books
2. processing of touch-sensitive paper
3. processing of flexible cases
4. exact casing-in of quite thin books with straight spine, for example photo books
5. production of single books with the possibility of barcode recognition
and rejection of wrong cases or blocks
6. pre-forming of cases for round book spine without changing parts
Product category: Book casing-in machines
Casing-In Machine E31
The Casing-In machine E 31 is working winglessly, to avoid markings at
very sensitive book pages. Rational handling of single books and
short run production is possible without set-up times and presorting.
The machine is equipped with a conveying unit, which transports the
book block vertically through the glue rollers and into the preformed
book case. Book case and book block get gripped by folding rails there.
Then the book case is formed around the book block and pressed.
The books are prepressed inside of the delivery, layed down softly to
a belt and transported to the joint forming machine.
Instead of the known state of technology, special features have been
provided with the casing-in machine E 31, so handling of special products can be done:
features:
● handling of just bound books
● handling of touch-sensitive paper
● exact casing-in of very thin books with straight spine e.g. of photo books
● production of single books with possibility of barcode identification
and reject of fault cases or book blocks
● no format changing parts
● fully automatic changing of formats due to barcode information
Product category: Book back gluing and back stripping machines
Perfect Binder KM41
■ automatic perfect binder
■ optional end sheet station
■ without mechanical exchange parts
The DGR Perfect Binder KM 41 is designed for fully automatic manufacture of adhesive bound and thread sewn blocks (hardcover) and brochures (softcover). High-quality book blocks (for hardcovers) can be produced using the integrated, optional end sheet station and lining station. It can be used for processing gathered loose sheets and/or folded sheets or thread-sewn blocks. With the full equipment, there are 3 possible product variants:
1. Brochure with cover,
2. block with glued and lined book spine, or
3. a combination of the two as a brochure with lay-flat binding (e.g. Swiss/Euro brochure) produced in one pass.
The integratable end sheet station is a particularly rewarding investment as it has a return on investment of only a few months for short run hardcover books in the area of digital printing. Thanks to the motorised format change (optional), the different production types and formats can be very quickly changed.
For the single copy option, it is possible to change with zero make-ready time.

Three Knife Trimmer D09
■ very fast format change-over
■ without mechanical exchange parts
The Three Knife Trimmer D09 is designed for industrial manufacturing of single products up to medium runs in the hardcover and softcover sector. Its excellent cutting quality, universal format range and very high degree of automation sets new standards. A unique option is the motorised format change that is performed in seconds at the press of a button or by barcode control. Patented, adjustable pressing tools (table and pressing block are no longer required!), cover the entire range of formats.
