3D printing service for wear-resistant parts

Wearing parts from 3D printing service
Sensationally strong in the test compared to machined and injection-moulded parts

We print your individual component, using lubrication-free, abrasion-resistant iglidur® plastics; easy to order and quick to install: everything you need from prototypes to complex special parts.
Upload your 3D file, check the 360° view and the units of measurement, and select a Tribo-Filament. Depending on the complexity of your product, we will then deliver it in as little as 24 hours.

iglidur® l3-PL for 3D printing with SLS

The material iglidur® I3-PL, specially developed for laser sintering, proved to have an abrasion resistance at least 3 times greater than conventional materials for laser sintering during tribologic tests in the igus® test laboratory. This means the degree of design freedom for abrasive loaded parts has been increased yet again.

For beta testing

Good mechanical properties

Detail accuracy with exact surfaces

Processing similar to commercially available SLS materials

Typical applications:
Prototype construction, small series, custom engineering, …

About us

Company details

The story of igus® begins on 15th October 1964 with Günter Blase in a double garage in Cologne-Mülheim.
For the first twenty years, we worked as a supplier of complex technical polymer components.

In 1983 Frank Blase starts our own product lines Energy Chain Systems® and polymer bearings as well as a network of sales engineers.
Between 1985 and 2015, we grew from 40 to more than 2700 igus® employees, distributed the world over.
We will continue to invest in expansion for the coming years.
The opportunities are there thanks to modern materials!
