Where does the packaging come from? Who is printing them?

What does the job of "printer" still look like today? The Flexodruck Fachverband e.V. clarifies these and other questions together with Sebastian, who is looking for training, in the nine-minute film. In a flexographic printing company, Sebastian is shown his workplace and everyday life from the media technologist, who is being trained. The tour starts in the printing room and leads through the color laboratory and warehouse into the printing plant. During his training as a media technologist in flexographic printing, Timo learned how to handle complex flexographic printing systems and how a production process works. Sebastian gets a detailed explanation here of what you should bring with you for this job and what further training opportunities there are in the industry. Sounds exciting? About us

Company portrait

The DFTA Flexodruck Fachverband e.V., based in Stuttgart (Germany), is a flexography association for European and German companies, such as suppliers, prepress and printing companies and represents more than 300 companies of the flexographic industry. It is our job and our mission to represent flexography interests to the outside world. We provide advice and support to our members and associated companies in order to prepare them for future challenges. In our role as an association, we have made it our objective to make flexography the most important method used in package printing. In association and collaboration with many international associations, we have helped writing the history of flexography and will contribute to its future development. Collaboration and exchange of information between associations on different levels as well as technical research have significantly promoted the development of the flexographic method. Today, it is one of the leading methods in package printing and will continue to grow in importance. With our various facilities and events, we are well prepared for it.
